Cancer Kickers Soccer Club was founded in 2016 by Michelle and Chris Clothier as a family passion project rooted in compassion, generosity, and the belief that no child should face cancer alone. Although they had no personal connection to childhood cancer, they felt called to make a difference and answered that calling with open hearts.

From the very beginning, the mission was simple yet meaningful: to bring Comfort, Community, and Connection to children ages 18 and under who were battling or in remission from cancer. Every child, known as a "teammate," was nominated by someone who loved them and welcomed with a personalized care package featuring a custom jersey and gear. More than a gift, it was a reminder that they were seen, celebrated, and supported by an entire team standing beside them.

Over the years, Cancer Kickers grew from one family's vision into an international community of teammates, families, volunteers, donors, and supporters united by kindness and hope. Operating under a 100% model, every dollar donated went directly toward serving children and their families because generous supporters covered all organizational overhead.

As Cancer Kickers closes this chapter, its legacy lives on in the thousands of lives it touched and the community it inspired. What began as one family's desire to serve became a movement that reminded children and families around the world that they never had to face cancer alone. That spirit of compassion, connection, and unwavering support will continue to live on in every teammate, every volunteer, and every act of kindness sparked by this mission.​
